This ceramic pendant is inspired by the pressbleck plaques from Torslunda on Öland depicting an armed warrior alongside a boar. These decorative metal plaques were used during the Late Iron Age and Viking Age as embellishments on helmets and other prestigious objects. Each pendant is individually crafted, giving it a unique color and texture. Comes with an adjustable cord.
The boar is believed to have held symbolic significance as a protective animal, associated in both Norse and Germanic traditions with courage, strength, and warrior culture. The Torslunda find is unique and offers insight into the visual world surrounding elite warriors during the Iron Age.
