Amazing Viking Age bag based on a find from Birka, here in Sweden. The smart construction allows it to be opened and closed easily. 

Only the wooden bag hangers have survived the time, so it is not know whether the bag was made in leather or fabric. We chose in leather which makes it more water resistant. It is also possible to treat the leather get an even higher water repellent degree. 

The leather straps and cords are easy to replace if need be.
